Waster’s 30-Day Flexible Agreement Explained

How our rolling month-to-month contract works and why it’s fair for both customers and suppliers

At Waster, we believe that waste management contracts should be simple, transparent, and flexible. That’s why we offer a 30-day rolling agreement instead of locking customers into long-term contracts that can be expensive and difficult to exit.

This post explains exactly how our 30-day flexible agreement works and why it’s designed to protect both our customers and our business.

What Is Waster’s 30-Day Flexible Agreement?

When you sign up with Waster, you enter into a legally binding service agreement — but unlike traditional waste management contracts, it operates on a month-to-month basis.

  • The contract rolls forward automatically every month.

  • Either party can end the agreement by giving 30 days’ written notice.

  • Services continue seamlessly until notice is given.

This arrangement is clearly set out in our Waste and Recycling Terms and Conditions, under Clause 4 (The Term) and Clause 9 (Cancellation of Service).

Why 30 Days’ Notice Is Important

The 30-day notice period ensures that services can be wound down in a professional and orderly way. It allows:

  • Final bin empties before removal.

  • Transport scheduling for bin collection.

  • A smooth close to the agreement without disruption to your business.

It’s not about trapping you — it’s about ensuring both parties are treated fairly.

What About Bin Removal Fees?

To keep things transparent:

  • If you cancel within the first 3 months, a $199+GST removal fee applies.

  • This covers transport costs and prevents Waster being used as a “cheap one-off” service.

  • If cancellation is due to poor service, no removal fee applies.

  • After the first three months, bin removal is free of charge.

This small safeguard ensures fairness and protects long-term customers.

How Waster’s Flexible Agreement Compares to Traditional Contracts

Most waste providers require you to sign a 2–5 year contract, with steep penalties for early exit. Waster’s approach is different:

  • No lock-in — only 30 days’ notice required.

  • No hidden penalties — just a fair removal fee in the first three months.

  • Customer-friendly — flexibility to adjust or cancel services as your business changes.

Final Word

Waster’s 30-Day Flexible Agreement is designed to give you the best of both worlds:

  • A legally binding contract that ensures professionalism, compliance, and insurance.

  • The flexibility to change or leave without the heavy penalties common in the waste industry.
