Service Cancellation Terms Explained

At Waster, we want our customers to stay with us because they’re happy — not because they’re locked into long contracts. That’s why our waste services operate on flexible agreements with simple cancellation terms.

Here’s exactly how cancellation works and what to do if you’re considering leaving.

30 Days’ Notice Required

As outlined in our Waste and Recycling Terms and Conditions, either party may cancel the agreement by giving 30 days’ written notice.

  • This notice period allows us to organise final bin empties and arrange safe bin removal.

  • All invoices (including the final one) must be paid in full before bins are collected.

  • A bin removal fee of $199 + GST applies if you cancel within the first three months to cover transport costs. After that, there are no removal fees.

If cancellation is due to poor service or unreliability from Waster, we do not charge any removal fee.

Thinking of Cancelling? Talk to Us First

We hate to see any customer leave — and often, the issue can be resolved quickly.

  • If pricing is the issue → Ask us about a price match or better offer. We’ll always do our best to remain competitive.

  • If service is the issue → Speak to us. We may be able to switch you to a different truck or hauler to improve reliability.

Our goal is to solve problems so you get the service you need, without having to go through the hassle of changing providers.

Easy Cancellation Process

If you still wish to cancel:

  • Just give us 30 days’ notice in writing. We will ask you to compete a simple one page form.

  • We’ll schedule the final bin empty.

  • Bins will then be removed smoothly, with minimal disruption.

We make cancellation as easy as possible — and we welcome back many customers who later realise the grass isn’t always greener with other providers.
