Overdue Invoices and Service Suspension

How Waster manages overdue accounts and the impact on service schedules

At Waster, we do our best to provide flexible payment terms and fair billing practices. However, to keep services sustainable, we have a clear policy when invoices become overdue.

What Happens if Invoices Are Overdue?

If your account has overdue invoices, your site may be placed on β€œstop service”.

  • This means scheduled collections will be temporarily suspended until payment is received.

  • Services are paused to prevent further costs from building up while invoices remain unpaid.

  • We provide reminders and reasonable leeway before suspending services.

How Services Resume

Once the overdue invoices are paid in full:

  • Your account will be brought back into good standing.

  • We will recommence collections promptly on your normal service schedule.

  • No additional penalties are applied β€” it’s simply a pause until payment is cleared.

⚠️ Important Note: In some areas, our trucks may only visit once a week, or even less frequently. If your site is on stop service, this can mean a longer wait before your next scheduled collection, which may cause inconvenience.

Why This Policy Exists

This approach ensures:

  • Fairness β€” we avoid continuing to provide services while invoices remain unpaid.

  • Clarity β€” customers know exactly what happens if payments fall behind.

  • Sustainability β€” keeping operations smooth for all customers.

Working With You

We understand that businesses may experience cash flow challenges from time to time. If you think you may have trouble paying on time:

  • Please contact us early β€” we’ll always do our best to work with you.

  • Direct debit is available with a 1.5% discount to simplify payments.

Final Word

In summary:

  • Overdue invoices β†’ Site placed on stop service.

  • Invoices paid β†’ Services recommence promptly, but note: in some areas you may need to wait until the next scheduled truck run.

This policy is designed to be fair and straightforward, while ensuring Waster can continue to provide reliable, transparent services.
